Chippenham Pit Stop Café Project

Many people know us for our Service & Repair work, however for many years we have worked on some fantastic projects. Having a team of Electrical Engineers and Catering engineers allowed us to go further than just the kitchen.

One of those projects we have worked on was to carry out new installation and commissioning of the new extension for the kitchen area, office space and general areas to Chippenham Pit Stop on behalf of Wilkins builders. Chippenham Pit Stop is an Award Winning Family Run Motorway Services & Truck Stop; M4 Junction 17

The kitchen area comprised of extending their existing small kitchen area to help cope with the ever expanding customer base, as well as adding an additional office space on the first floor.

We carried out the first stage of work by isolating and removing the existing circuits and supplies to the kitchen area.

We then installed a new temporary distribution board and supplies to all their appliances to allow them to continue to trade during the construction process of the new extension. When we are working on a project we always try to ensure we are not disrupting trade as much as possible.

We returned to site once the shell of the extension was built to begin first fix installation of containment.

Upon completing the first fix installation of containment we began second fix installation of the kitchen area and second floor office area.

We understand the importance of design in a uniquely challenging industry, and was able to work with the end user to determine the design that would best suit their needs, and this allowed us to also design the new kitchen layout and supply new catering equipment and install as required.
